The "Jazzclub in Studio II" offers members of the Frankfurt Radio Big Band the opportunity to realize new concepts and ideas with colleagues and musician friends. It offers a playground for the band's creative minds and the environment to try out new music in new constellations. Not infrequently, projects that have been created in this way were to last for a long time to come.

This concert evening as part of cresc... is characterized by a cooperation between Ensemble Modern and the Frankfurt Radio Big Band. Improvisation becomes a prime example of a musical thread play, the festival theme 2024. The common starting point and point of reference is the music of the free jazz legend Ornette Coleman, with whom both ensembles can show musical connections.
